About Me

Welcome to Mr. Frank’s Think Tank Math Tutoring! My name is Jake Frank and I was born and raised in Carol Stream, Illinois. All these years later, I’m ecstatic to be serving my community today! Upon graduating from Glenbard North High School in 2012, I attended Loras College and received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2016. I then proceeded to work as Web Developer for the next 5 years. In the fall of 2020, I realized that I was tired of sitting at a desk all day and I wanted to find a way to get involved in my community. With this in mind, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Middle Grades Education. I’ve since received my Master’s, worked with students as an AVID college prep tutor, substitute teacher, and as a 7th grade math classroom teacher.

It is common for children to struggle with Math. I understand how frustrating it can be when your child feels lost during class and then aren’t able to complete their homework. I believe that everyone can be successful in Math class. In most cases, students just need the opportunity to build confidence in their mathematical abilities. This is what makes me so excited about tutoring! By working with students in a 1 on 1 or small group setting, I can use my teaching skills to address your child’s individual needs and start building their confidence in the arena of mathematics. My mission is to help students to realize their abilities and no longer feel dread about their math classes.
